Another option (with heavier luggage) is to get off the train at Como Lago and take the bus n.4, which takes you to all the way to Rienza, 31.

Take a bus from Orio al Serio to Monza or Milano Centrale - there are various companies and the bus station is located right in front of terminal building. Then take a train to Como S. Giovanni. After that, bus n.4 will take you to via Rienza, 31.

If you arrive/depart early/late - consider requesting a transfer at http://www.gettransfer.com. It will most probably cost you much less than a regular taxi.

The bicycle rack is available in the entrance hall of the building (for 2 bikes). No responsibility is assumed for the bicycles. The use of bicycle locks is recommended and encouraged.

Please, be aware, that online ticket sales are only available on the routes with regular service and NOT for the Express
Service (Servizio Rapido). Express Service tickets can only be bought on the day of the voyage at the ticket office located at Lungo Lario Trento (across the road from Albergo Terminus hotel). Regular service to Bellagio takes about 2 hours 10 minutes, Express Service - about 45 minutes.

Bus fare is 2 EUR if paid by contactless credit card inside the bus.

Another option is parking meters around the city. These tickets do not need to be stamped and are valid 90 minutes from purchase time.

Otherwise, you can use the app MooneyGo to buy tickets with credit card. Do not forget to activate the ticket in the app before boarding the bus. You can get the app following this link.

During winter months (mid-September to May) local bus line n. 4 runs every 30 minutes on weekdays and Saturdays, every hour on Sundays till 20:30 and stops right next to the building entrance. On summer schedule (June to mid-September) it only runs every hour also on weekdays/Saturdays. It will get you to both Como Nord Lago and Como San Giovanni train stations.

Important !!! - The route of bus n.4 has been changed in 2024 - after Como S. Giovanni station it now makes a circle around the city center and then goes to via Rienza. The route can be found here. The closest stop to the city center and to Como Lago train station is Piazza del Popolo - View in Google Maps.

The return ticket price is 6,60 EUR (3,90 EUR for children under 12 y.o.). Funicular usually becomes crowded by 10am, so wake up early to take an amazing trip to Brunate.
Service runs from 06:00 till midnight on Saturday an 06:00 till 22:30 on all other days.
During summer months the service is extended till midnight also on Saturdays and weekdays.
